New 2019 Makeup – Beauty Shopping with VeryMakeupMad

When the sun’s out in London, we come over all giddy at Verymakeupmad Towers and can’t resist heading out and about, hitting the High Street, on the lookout for fab new beauty products to share with our lovely followers (that’s you guys!!) This week we took ourselves off to Oxford Street to discover some new gems. There’s a video on our YouTube channel all about it, so press here to watch it and don’t forget to subscribe!

And you can read all about our discoveries here too!

We’re only briefly touching on Pat McGrath makeup, simply because we wrote about it in our last blog (if you haven’t read it yet, shame on you!!). But suffice to say, we’re still loving the amazing products and beautiful formulas of this ‘to-die-for’ range. Go check it out at Selfridges as soon as you can…

Now, when it comes to bronzer, M is quite picky. She is still faithful to the Clarins limited edition compact that she picked up on her travels 4 years ago! Each summer, the brand releases one of these oversized bronzers, the beauty of which is that it also includes a peachy/apricot shade and gives the most natural sun-kissed glow. The last couple of years, M hasn’t been that bowled over by what’s been launched. But that all changed this year. As soon as she saw the Bronzer and Blush Compact, £32, in ‘Sunrise Glow’, M knew she had to have it. Its bronze and peach tones are perfect for her colouring, and work beautifully on the skin. And if you prefer a pinkier blush and a slightly shimmery finish, check out the ‘Sunset Glow’ version. You really can’t go wrong with either!

Still on bronzer and as you probably know, V has always been a Guerlain girl (well, they did invent the bronzer, after all!). The terracotta range is a bronzing lover’s dream and there’s a product to suit everyone. V spied the new Universal Blush Highlighting Stick, £34 and was instantly bowled over. We love stick formulations at Verymakeupmad (they’re so creamy and quick and easy to apply!) and this one gives a gorgeous, softly shimmering, pinky glow to the apples of the cheeks. Plus, if you’re already a Guerlain fan, you’ll know how incredible the products smell… and this is no exception!

Whilst at Guerlain, V took her eyes off M for 2 minutes… and lo and behold, the Blusher Queen found herself a new blush (V reckons she’s got an in-built ‘blush-dar’!!) The Meteorites Swirl Blush Rose, £28.50, is a swirly-whirly delight – a cooling, bouncy pad of pigment and shine, it gives such a pretty flush to the cheeks and is a joy to dab on. M can’t wait to use it when the weather hots up, as it really does feel cool and refreshing. It’s available in a great coral shade too.

At the Dior counter, M’s head was turned by the pretty 3Couleurs Tri(O)blique Eyeshadow Palette, in Rosy Canvas. It’s such a girly palette with its pretty pinks, its embossed pattern and 3 shadows in glittery, metallic and matte finishes. It’s definitely not cheap at £49 (but currently 15% off at John Lewis, so don’t miss out!!) but it’s very hard to resist! M certainly couldn’t!
